First ensure that the transmitter is not turned on.

Connect the instrument between the transmitter output and the antenna or the 50
Ω
load.

Put the function switch on the “Battery test” position, press on the Measurement push button and
check the battery charge status on the galvanometer. If they are adequately charged, the needle
should be in the range indicated on the galvanometer. Otherwise, to change the batteries, refer to
§ 5.1 Replacing the batteries.
