RAP 2.14 E-Stop/Remote E-Stop But-
tons
Inputs 4 and 27
Pressing either of these buttons stops the hy-
draulic motor and all conveyors. The front e-
stop is located next to the console (Figure 2-16),
and the remote e-stop is located at the back of
the machine (Figure 2-17).
Possible Fault Indicators

“Stop Button is Pressed”

sage is displayed when neither are
pressed.
Initial Actions
Check for loose or damaged wires 40 and 41, or
a short to 74 at the electrical panel.
Procedure
1. With the power off, check that each e-stop
button actuates properly. Does the buttons
stay in when pressed and release when
twisted in the direction of the arrow on the
button?
Y N
Disconnect power and replace defective
switch bodies (PL 5.1 Main Assembly 59000
(1/14) or PL 5.13 Main Assembly 59000
(13/14)).
2. Switch the main power ON and go to the di-
agnostic screen (GP 6.2 Input/Output Diag-
nostics
). Are inputs “Rear Stop” and “Front
Stop” both off?
Y N
Disconnect wires 40 and 41 from the main
PWB. Does the diagnostic screen now
show inputs "Rear Stop" and "Front Stop"
both off?
Y N
Disconnect power and replace the main
PWB (REP 4.23 Main PWB Replace-
ment).
Go to GP 6.13 Contact Block and check
each contact block on each e-stop switch.
Disconnect power and replace faulty contact
blocks (PL 5.1 Main Assembly 59000 (1/14)
or PL 5.13 Main Assembly 59000 (13/14)).
3. Short wire 40 to wire 74 and 41 to 74 at the
main PWB. Do inputs "Rear Stop" and
"Front Stop" both switch on?
Y N
Disconnect power and replace the main
PWB (REP 4.23 Main PWB Replacement).
4. Go to GP 6.13 Contact Block and check the
contact blocks on each stop switch. Are all
of the contact blocks good?
Y N
Disconnect power and replace faulty contact
blocks (PL 5.1 Main Assembly 59000 (1/14)
or PL 5.13 Main Assembly 59000 (13/14)).
Continue with RAP 2.15 Starter Circuit.
