“Comment”

place to write comment for new recalculation. It will than displayed in
measurement tree next to recalculation number. It will help to know what you have
done in each of particular recalculations.
“Period of test signal”
–
sets length or period of the test signal used for measurement.
Available are 0.341, 0.683, 1.365- and 2.731-seconds test signals. For
99%
of
measurement cases the default 0.341 is ok. You should use longer period in case of
very long reverberation time (church) or in case of serious surrounding noise or
in case of extremely low power loudspeaker. The blue interference curve will tell you
such need.
“Measurement name”
–
sets the name for your measurement. Please use short one
and
without “spaces” in it. This name will be used for all fil
e names of this particular
measurement.
“From file”
–
to process previously recorded measurement (microphone signal) wave
file.
You will find wave file, containing microphone signal recorded, in your measurement
folder after each measurement. By use this function, it is possible to process again this
file by you or by your friend or by APL support.
“Rec. sample rate”
–
the sample rate used for playback of test signal and recording of
input signal. It depends on your sound card capabilities. If sound card supports 96
kHz, please use 96 kHz sample rate.
“Auto record”
–
check box activates auto record function. When playback is started
and you are satisfied with playback loudness level and input signal level, you must
use some “mute” switch for your input
signal (possible on microphone or its cable) to
mute input signal. The
n check “Auto record” check box. Now, when you switch off
mute, the recording of measurement will start. When you switch mute on again, the
recording will stop. It is useful when you need to measure number of loudspeakers
without returning to your PC (batch measurement)
