Upgrading the Firmware in Your Mount
and Hand Control
Setup overview (Figure 12 1 and 12 2)
To check for new firmware updates, refer to this URL:
http://software celestron com/updates/CFM/CFM/
1 Plug your hand control into the AUX1 or
AUX2 port
2 Plug a USB mini cable from your PC to your hand control
3 Plug power into the CGX-L and power it on
4 Open Celestron Firmware Manager (CFM)
5 CFM will check your hardware and scan for updates
CFM will automatically determine which components
will require updating
6 Proceed to click “Update” in CFM and allow updates
to complete
