PROGRAMMING CONTINUED…
3.9
In order for the phone to implement
call restrictions
, a “0
”
must have
been selected for Digit 1 in section 3.5. If this was not done, repeat
section 3.5 in its entirety. If this is not a desired function, proceed to
section 3.10. In order to restrict calling patterns, the phone is programmed
to tell it which patterns to allow. In turn, it will block all others.
Enter
one of the twenty (20) call restriction programming locations
(#70 thru
#89) followed by an allowed calling pattern.
Please refer to the
examples below. Each of the twenty (20) locations may be used to
program one call restriction or allowed calling pattern. Each location will
store a number/pattern of up to eleven (11) digits in length. An “*”
represents a wild card, so any time the “*” key is entered, the phone to
allows any single digit in its place. Take a moment to look over the
examples below. When you are finished, enter a location code (#70-#89),
followed by a desired restriction/pattern. Do this for all desired allowed
calling patterns. All patterns may be programmed one right after the other
without performing any measures in between. Remember to be slow and
deliberate when pressing the keys.
EXAMPLE:
Entering #700********** allows all 0+ and 0- calls.
Entering #71911
allows 911 to be dialed.
Entering #721800******* allows any 1-800 call.
Entering #73******* allows 7-digit calls.
Entering #74587**** allows 7-digit calls beginning
with 587.
Each pattern that is programmed will be “allowed” by the phone. If call
restrictions are implemented (Location #00 Digit 1), the phone will only
permit the calls that are specifically programmed. Any numbers that have
been programmed into the speed, #19 or #18 locations do not have to be
programmed again under this section.
3.10
Programming is now completed.
Hang up
the phone and return the
mini-
jumpers
to the
“OFF”
position, as depicted on the last page of this
manual. Replace the telephone faceplate and fasten it with the security
screw. The phone is now ready for Testing/Operation.
