Single espresso
Place an espresso filter in the portafilter, pour 7-12 g of ground coffee
into the filter and tamper. Align the portafilter with the portafilter bracket,
insert it into place and turn it anticlockwise to lock it. Place a cup on the
cup-holder tray. From the standby mode, press the single coffee button,
the light indicator will blink and the machine will start brewing coffee.
The pressure gauge will display pressure parameters during the brewing
process and will be reset when it has finished. The function will end auto -
matically. If desired, it can also be stopped manually by pressing the single
coffee button again.
Note: It is important to introduce the coffee tamper vertically. If it is intro -
duced oblique, coffee extraction will not be homogeneous.
Double espresso
Place a double espresso filter in the portafilter, pour 20-22 g of ground
coffee into the filter and tamper. Align the portafilter with the portafilter
bracket, insert it into place and turn it anticlockwise to lock it. Place 1 cup
for a double espresso or 2 cups for 2 espressos on the cup-holder tray.
From the standby mode, press the double coffee button, the light indicator
will blink and the machine will start brewing a double espresso. The light
indicator will blink and the machine will start brewing coffee. The pressure
gauge will display pressure at which coffee is extracted during the brew -
ing process and will be reset when it has finished. The function will end
automatically. If desired, it can also be stopped manually by pressing the
double espresso button again.
Recommendation: Preheat the appliance, the portafilter, filter and cup be -
fore brewing coffee to ensure that coffee taste is not affected by temper -
ature.
Steam (Steam tube)
First, turn the steam knob to the preheating position, the On/off light indi -
cator will turn steady on and the steam light indicator will blink. The steam
light indicator will turn steady when the steam function is ready to be
used.
From the standby mode, turn the steam knob from the “0” to the Max. po -
sition, the steam tube will start emitting steam. The steam light indicator
will blink. Turn the steam knob to the “0” position again to deactivate the
function off.
Recommendation: Allow the coffee machine to rest for 1 minute after per -
forming a continuous 10-minute steam operation to prevent it from over -
heating.
