AUTOMATIC “OFF” FUNCTION

The scale must be “

OFF

” at the onset for performing all functions.

When instructed to PRESS a key, be sure to do so FIRMLY.

TO ENTER FUNCTION MODE

1)

With the scale turned “

OFF

”, press and hold “

TARE

”.  While holding “

TARE

” down, quickly press and

release “

ON

”.  Release “

TARE

”.

2)

Display will read “

F.1

” (

if display reads “

F.0

”, press “

TARE

” again which will display “

F.1

)

3)

Select specific functions by pressing “

TARE

” until proper selection is displayed.

4)

To exit, press “

ON

”.

* after each adjustment, scale must be re-calibrated *

DEALER CALIBRATION

1) Press and hold “

TARE

” button.  While holding “

TARE

” button, quickly press “

ON

” and release both.  Display

should read “

F.1

”.

2) Press “

ZERO

” to display current 

off-set

 value.

3) Off-set

 value should be between 5,000 and 15,000.  If value is not within this range, go to step “

F.3

” below.

4) Press “

ON

” to zero the scale

5) Press “

TARE

” ,“

ON

”, “

TARE

”, “

ON

”.  Display should read “

1

” while depressing “

TARE

” and “

” when “

ON

depressed.

6) Display should read “

” key.  If it does not appear, turn the scale “

” and start

again at Step 1.

7) Place full capacity weight on scale (except TLE-70; add 50 lb.) on platform and allow display to stabilize.

8) Press “

ZERO

9) The scale should “automatically” calibrate and display should read “

donE

”.

10) The display will show a numerical “count down” which should reflect the weight on the platform or “0” if calibra-

tion weights have been removed.

DISPLAY/SEGMENT CHECK

1) Press “

TARE

” and hold.  At the same time, quickly press and release “

ON

”. Release “

TARE

”.

2) Display should read “

”, press “

” again, which will display “

).

3) Press “

TARE

” until display reads “

F.2

”.

4) Press “

ZERO

” to enter 

DISPLAY/SEGMENT CHECK

 function.  Display will illuminate all segments of the

display to check for failure or damage.

5) Return to NORMAL operation by pressing “

ON

”.

The scale is now ready for the Weights & Measurement authority to seal.  This is accomplished by placing a lead

wire through the protrusion in the circular hole on the underside of the scale and connecting it with a blob of lead

mashed with the “official seal”.
