13. Assign and verify MAC addresses:
a.
To assign a MAC address to the VF, issue the following command:
ip link set <pf device> vf <vf index> mac <mac address>
b.
Ensure that the VF interface is up and running with the assigned MAC
address.
14. Power off the VM and attach the VF. (Some OSs support hot-plugging of
VFs to the VM.)
