Selecting Your Plant

Planting & Watering

The GloGro is designed to support a wide range of small to medium-sized plants.

This includes most flowers, vegetables, herbs, small shrubs, and other smaller indoor plants.

The GloGro may not be suitable for large shrubs, trees, bushes, and other large indoor plants

beyond the seedling or juvenile stages.

The maximum height for a plant within the GloGro system is 3 feet from bottom of pot to top of plant.

Once you have selected your plant, you will need to decide upon the appropriate pot type.

We have provided a hanging pot and chain that will allow you to plant a small-medium sized plant.

If you plan on growing something larger, such as a full sized tomato plant, you will want to use a

larger pot to ensure proper nutrients and a full root system.

Most plants are happy to be watered daily.  Do not over-water a plant, as you risk causing the roots

to rot.  The hanging pot is designed with an integrated drip pan to collect excess water, but care

should still be taken to avoid too much water.  Any pot used should have a drip pan or small holes

and a tray to allow the excess water out of the soil.

Amount of Light

Different plants require differing levels of light for healthy growth.  The GloGro integrated timer

can make sure your plant receives the right amount of light consistently every day.

Many Nurseries and Home Garden Centers provide an information card or insert that will tell you

the sunlight and watering requirements.  Depending on the amount of light needed, the following

tables can help you set the GloGro to deliver the right amount.
