68. Adjust the serpentine belt for the alternator by turning
the adjusting bolt

NOTE:
The alternator belt does not have a tensioning pro-
cedure. The alternator is adjusted all the way to the stop.
69. Torque the adjusting bracket bolt

50 N·m

ft
).
70. Torque the jam nut for the adjusting bolt

to
30 N·m
(
22 lb ft
).
71. Torque the mounting bolts

to
50 N·m

72. If your machine is equipped with A/C, adjust the belt
for the A/C compressor by turning the adjusting screw

NOTE:
The belt is tightened correctly when a force of
1.0 kg
(
2.2 lb
) is applied to the center of the of the span of
the belt with a
3 mm
(
1/8 in
) of deflection.
73. Tighten the mounting bolts

74. Place the radiator

inside the shroud, but do not
install the hardware.
75. Attach the hoses

to the radiator. Torque the hose
clamps

3 - 4 N·m
