POSITIONING THE AQUARIUM
Before setting up your aquarium, select a proper location for your new aquarium, taking into account that a full aquarium should
not be moved. You should place the aquarium somewhere near an electrical outlet and far away from direct sunlight or other heating
sources (such as stoves, radiators etc.); this way it will avoid overheating and the formation of algae. We suggest not to place it where
possible water escape could cause damage. You will also need a stand which can support the weight of the tank. The stand needs to be flat
on the top. The aquarium should be placed on an sturdy support, specifically made for holding aquariums.
SETTING UP THE AQUARIUM
Place on the bottom some gravel in the colours you like most, taking care to wash it thoroughly before being placed into the aquarium,
under running water.
Generally it is best to create a gentle slope of gravel; deepest in the back and most shallow in the front. This way, any decaying matter will
drift down toward the front of the tank. According to the size of the tank, add plants, decorative objects (woods, rocks, amphorae etc. )
wash them carefully with water, without any detergent.
Now you can fill the aquarium with water.

HOW TO FIND A SOLUTION TO THESE DRAWBACKS
WARNING! THE AQUARIUM APPLIANCES MUST BE DISCONNECTED FROM THE MAINS POWER SUPPLY BEFORE SERVICING AN
AQUARIUM OR CONDUCTING ANY ACTIVITY THAT ALLOWS DIRECT CONTACT WITH THE WATER.
IF THE PUMP IS NOISY (if supplied):
Clean the filtering materials (filter foam, filter wool etc.)
Check the rotor of the pump and clean it.
Check that the water entry isn't clogged.
IF THE TEMPERATURE IS TOO ELEVATED IN THE AQUARIUM:
Check the working of the heater (if supplied).
The high temperature could be due to the lights, if they have been lit for too many hours or if the position of the aquarium is too
close to heating sources (stoves, radiators, windows etc.)
IF ALGAE GROWS ON THE GLASS WALLS OF THE AQUARIUM:
In the freshwater aquarium, algae is the enemy of the plants. The best way to control algae problems naturally is to minimize the amount
of phosphate and nitrate in the water. This is achieved by properly feeding the fish and adding plenty of aquatic plants to the pond.
Scrub the sides of the tank as needed to remove algae. Remove free floating algae.
Change more frequently one third of the water.
Make sure that the tank receives no direct sunlight.
REPAIRS SHOULD BE CARRIED OUT ONLY BY QUALIFIED TECHNICAL PERSONNEL TO AVOID ANY HAZARDS.
PLEASE NOTE : the cleaning of the external plastic parts have to be done with a damp cloth.
IMPORTANT : NEVER USE SOLVENTS OR SIMILAR PRODUCTS THAT COULD DAMAGE IRREPARABLY THE PLASTIC MATERIAL.
