Installation tests
Refer to the
fi
gure at page 3 (Aspect and display).
Once the unit has been installed and con
fi
gured, the test must be
carried out.
The scope of this test is to check that installation has been carried
out correctly and the unit operates properly when started for the
fi
rst
time.
Press button B and C simultaneously for at least 5 seconds to enter
the test mode. “A” appears on the display.
The automatic test or one of the 3 manual tests can now be se-
lected. Press button D and the following options are cyclically
displayed:

To con
fi
rm the desired test press button B within 60 seconds with
the remote control directed towards the unit. Two acoustic signals
(beep beep) indicate if the message is correctly received by the
unit.
Manual test
Three different tests, indicated by the corresponding number, can
be selected.
Each test will force different system outlets.
During the test, all icons on the display are off and only button C
is active to stop the test at any moment. If the test is not stopped
it lasts about 7 minutes.
TEST1- Cooling mode
To start this test, direct the remote control towards the unit and
press button B when “1” is shown on the display.
The message is sent to the system and two acoustic signals
(beep beep) indicate that the message has been correctly re-
ceived.
The scope of this test is to check the cooling operation mode.
The forced unit outlets are:
• Cold water valve
• HIGH fan speed
• Condensate draining pump start-up
TEST2- Heating mode
To start this test, direct the remote control towards the unit and
press button B when “2” is shown on the display. The message is
sent to the system and two acoustic signals (beep beep) indicate
that the message has been correctly received. The scope of this
test is to check the heating operation mode.
The forced unit outlets are:
• Hot water valve
• MEDIUM fan speed (HIGH for units with variable speed motor)
TEST3 – Booster heating
(hot water + electric heaters)
To start this test, direct the remote control towards the unit and
press button B when “2” is shown on the display. The message is
sent to the system and two acoustic signals (beep beep) indicate
that the message has been correctly received. The scope of this
test is to check the heating operation mode with electric heaters on.
The forced unit outlets are:
• Hot water valve
• Electric heaters on
• AUTOmatic fan speed
Automatic test
Throughout the entire test the remote control must always be di-
rected towards the indoor unit so that the unit can correctly receive
the messages cyclically sent by the remote control.
The scope of this test is to check that messages are correctly sent
and received and the unit operates correctly.
The test can not be started with a non-communicating unit (stand-
alone) or if the unit is not equipped with a outlet air sensor.
During the test, all icons on the display are off and only button C is
active to stop the test at any moment.
If the test is not stopped it lasts about 22 minutes.
During the test, the unit diagnostic is active.
The following table shows which unit outlets are forced and which
operating mode is active:
