24. The ComfortLink™ control can now be configured to op-
erate the economizer. To do this the unit must be config-
ured for Economizer Equipped (default is NO). The de-
fault settings are: Minimum Outdoor Air Percentage set-
ting (default is 30%), Economizer High Temperature
Lockout (default is 65 F), Economizer Low Temperature
Lockout (default is 0° F), and Free Cooling Enable (de-
fault is ENABLED). These configurations are accom-
plished through the Scrolling Marquee Display by using
the Configuration menu.
25. To configure the control to use the economizer a pass-
word may be required to edit the configurations, depend-
ing on the previous settings configured in the unit. De-
fault password is “1111”.
26. To access the configuration, use the arrow keys to scroll
the red LED on the display to the “Configuration” posi-
tion and press
. Use the arrow keys to scroll
down until the display shows “ECON”, and press the
key. At the Economizer Equipped (EC.EQ) set-
ting, press
twice. Use the arrow keys to change
the configuration to “YES” and press
and then
. Use the arrow keys to scroll down to the Min-
imum Position setting (MIN.P) and press
twice.
Use the arrow keys to increase or decrease the minimum
economizer position percentage and press
and
then
. Use the arrow keys to scroll down to the
Economizer High Temperature Lockout setting (ECL.H)
and press
twice. Use the arrow keys to increase
or decrease the economizer lockout temperature and press
and then
. Use the arrow keys to
scroll down to the Economizer Low Temperature Lock-
out setting (ECL.L) and press
twice. Use the ar-
row keys to increase or decrease the economizer lockout
temperature and press

the arrow keys to scroll down to the Free Cooling Enable
setting (FC.EN) and press
twice. Use the arrow
keys to toggle between ENABLED and DISABLED and

27. Configuration of the economizer is now complete. Press-
ing the
key several times will return the dis-
play to the auto scroll setting.

complete instructions on using the 48/50HG control
system.
29. Install the three mist eliminating filters supplied into the
outdoor air inlet hood.
30. Inspect the unit to make sure all panels are properly re-
placed and secured to the unit.
31. The unit is now ready for normal operation using the
economizer.
