Switch on the device:
Hold the button (2) for about 3 seconds.
The device will now turn on.
By lighting up the LEDs, the charge status of the batteries
is displayed.

Weak batteries are indicated by 4 flashing red LEDs and a
warning sound hourly.
Turn off the device:
Hold the button (2) for about 3 seconds.
The device will now turn off. Switching off is indicated by
a sequence of tones.
Adjust the volume:
When switched on, the volume can be adjusted using
buttons (1) and (3).
