CAUTION!

Please observe the following safety instructions to avoid damages 
and risks attributable to improper use:
•   The appliance must not come into contact with flammable mate-

rials. It must also not be used near flammable materials because 
the straightening comb reach temperatures of approx. 230°C!

•   Never cover the straightening comb with any object!
•   Never clamp any kind of object between the heating plates of 

the straightening comb.

•   After use, or if pausing for a significant length of time, discon-

nect the appliance from the mains and let the appliance cool 
down!

•   Do not place the appliance or the connecting cable on hot 

surfaces e.g. cooker or similar or in the vicinity of open flames!

•   Never put the appliance on soft cushions or blankets during 

operation!

Danger to life from electric shock!

There is danger to life if the live appliance comes in contact with 
water! Hence, please observe the following safety instructions:
•   Protect the appliance from moisture. 

•   Never put it into the dishwasher.
•   Do not use the connecting cable to pull on the plug nor remove 

the plug from the socket with wet hands!

•   Never immerse it in water!
•   Only specialists are allowed to do reparations. Improperly 

reparations can cause considerable danger!

•   There is always risk of injury when using electrical appliances 

improperly! 

•   To prevent unintentional misuse, keep the appliance stored away 

in a safe place.

•   No liability is accepted for any damage resulting from use for 

other purposes, faulty operation or amateur repairs. 

•  Guarantee services are also excluded in such cases.

  The appliance is not intended for professional purposes!

Preparing the hair

•   Wash your hair and dry it well.

•   Comb your hair thoroughly. Do not use hairspray or other flam-

mable chemical hair care products.

•   Place a hand towel around your neck to prevent the possibility 

of skin burns.

Switching on the appliance

•   Insert the mains plug and switch on the appliance using the 

on/off switch 

a

 (

see fig. 1

). The temperature control lights 1-3 

illuminate immediately, the 4th flashes until the appliance has 
reached its preset temperature of 190°C (

see fig. 2

). The preset 

temperature is reached after approx. 1 minute.

Setting the temperature

Select the suitable temperature for your hair type.  
Notes on this are found in the table below!

Setting lower temperature levels

•   Press the “–” key repeatedly on the rocker switch 

c

 until the 

required temperature level is set (

fig. 3a

).  

Minimum temperature 130°C.

Setting higher temperature levels

•    Press the “+” key repeatedly on the rocker switch 

c

 until  

the required temperature level is set (

fig. 3b

).  

Maximum temperature 230°C.

Note!

For every newly selected temperature level the respective control 
light flashes until the temperature is reached. Higher temperature 
levels are reached in just a few seconds, a reduction of tempera-
ture level takes effect more slowly.
