Technical Troubleshooting Guide
Follow the steps in order until the problem/fault is corrected. Before making a final diagnosis, visually
inspect the instrument for damage. Following repair/replacement, use Maintenance Software to
perform the required tests. See Table
(PCA Module).

Channel Disconnected
1. Channel disconnected during
operation.
2. Channel communication problem
with Inter Unit Interface (
IUI
).
1. Reconnect module to PC Unit.
Syringe Module only: reprogram
infusion setup.
2. Visually inspect
IUI
s on module and
PC Unit. If necessary, replace
IUI
Connector.
3. Return to factory.
Channel Errors
1. Module error detected.

maintenance, calibration, and
verification.
3. Return to factory.
Check Syringe
1. Syringe and/or drivearm obstruction.
2. Plunger head not engaged.
3. Barrel Clamp not closed.
4. Flange detect sensor not engaged.
5. Binary switches not working properly
or sensors defective.
6. Force sensor harness disconnected
and/or defective.
7. Syringe Size Sensor Assembly
harness disconnected and/or
defective.
8. Linear Sensor harness disconnected
and/or defective.
1. Check drivearm and syringe travel.
2. Lower plunger head onto syringe.
3. Close Barrel Clamp over syringe.
4. Ensure flange detect sensor is
engaged.
5. Perform Binary Switches Test using
Maintenance Software.
NOTE
:
Open the module to perform
the following steps.
6. Check force sensor harness
connection to drive head. If
necessary, reconnect harness or
replace Force Sensor Assembly.
7. Check Syringe Size Sensor
Assembly harness connection to
J4
on
IUI
Board. If necessary,
reconnect harness or replace Force
8. Check Linear Sensor harness
connection to
J12
on Logic Board. If
necessary, reconnect harness or
replace Force Sensor Assembly.
9. Return to factory.
