• Check feed cables and conducting cables con-
nected to the device for breaks or insulation
defects. If you find a defect, or there is visible
damage do not use the device.
• Never hold the device directly to your ear.
Humans cannot hear frequencies > 16 kHz, but
they might the device emits at a high volume
and then therefore it might be harmful, if the
ear is exposed to them over a longer period.

4. Assembly
The Marten-Free-Device is fastened by means of selftapping screws or binders in the
engine compartment on the carriage. The connecting cable to the car battery must be
passed in that manner that it doesn’t get in contact with movable or hot parts (e. g.
ventilating wheel, exhaust manifold). The device should be placed in the engine com-
partment in that manner that the acoustic noise can constantly spread and is not ab-
sorbed by insulating mats.
Attention! The assembly should be carried
out by authorised specialised staff!
5. Electrical connection
The device is directly connected to the car battery. The black cable is connected to the
positive pole, the brown one to the negative pole. If additionally the grey cable is con-
nected to clamp 15 (ignition lock, car radio) of the car battery, the control automatically
switches on the device, when the ignition is turned off and automatically switches it
off, when the ignition is switched on. This increases the durability of the device, as it is
only put into operation with the motor turned off.
