SAFETY INFORMATION
•
Keep water and moisture away from the TV set. Do NOT use the TV set in wet or humid areas such
as bathrooms, steam kitchens or in the vicinity of a swimming pool.
• Do not use the TV set in conditions where moisture can condense.
• All repairs must be carried out only by qualified specialists.
• Never open the TV set. Amateur repairs to the TV set can result in dangers and can potentially
cause fires.
• Liquids that enter the TV set can result in severe damage. Switch the TV set OFF and disconnect it
from the mains grid.
Then consult a qualified specialist before using the TV set again.
• NEVER remove the safety covers. There are no usable or serviceable components inside the TV set.
You would lose the right to assert claims under warranty.
The TV set may be serviced only by qualified specialists.
• NEVER strike or shake the screen, since this could damage internal circuits. Handle the remote
control with care and do not drop it.
• Never place hot objects or open flames on or in the immediate vicinity of the TV.
• The high temperatures can melt plastic, which can cause a fire.
• Clean the TV with a dry, soft cloth. NEVER use oil-based solvents or liquids. For stubborn stains you
can use a moist cloth with diluted household cleaner.
Headphone warning
Listening to loud music can result in permanent hearing loss. You should therefore never set the
loudness too high when you listen to music with headphones, especially when listening for an extended
period.
About the set-up location
Set up the TV at a location without direct sunlight or bright light sources. Soft, indirect light is recom-
mended for a pleasant viewing experience. Use curtains, roller blinds or louvre blinds to prevent direct
sunlight from shining on the screen. Set up the TV on a sturdy, level and secure surface. This will
prevent the TV set from falling off.
Make sure that you set up the TV at a location where it can neither be pressed nor impacted by objects,
because the pressure could damage or break the screen, and also choose a location where no small
objects can enter the ventilation openings in the housing.
