• Coffee drips from the filter, when

the carafe is removed.

does not allow it to close properly.

--> Immediately replace the carafe and
remove the filter holder.
--> Clean filter holder under running
water and push the drip stop several
times to remove coffee particles.
--> Fill some water into the filter holder
and check if the drip stop closes properly.

• Ground coffee is flowing over the

GoldTone filter.

--> Coffee is ground too fine.
--> Use less coffee the next time.
(See section 2.2)
--> Use a paper filter (size 4).

the frothXpress System are tightly
connected. (See section 5.1)
--> The knob must sit parallel to
the joint. (See fig. 7.) and must be

totally inserted into the joint.

--> Check if the straw inside the
milk container lid sits tightly (fig. 12).
--> Check if there is enough milk
in the milk container.

• Volume of milk froth is too low or

frothing takes too long.

--> Make sure the knob sits
parallel to the joint. (See fig. 7)

(See section 8 “Decalcifying.”)
