IMPORTANT:

This kettle has a built in memory function. If the kettle is

unplugged, the most recent settings will remain on the display when
the unit is powered back on.

Heating Water with the Keep Warm Setting

This procedure allows you to heat water and then keep water warm at a preset
temperature for up to 30 minutes.
1.

Follow steps 1-6 in the previous “Heating Water” section.

2.

Push the Keep Warm button (Fig.2) and the Keep Warm icon appears on the
display (Fig.4).

3.

Push the ON/OFF button. There is a short beep and the ON/OFF button
blinks red. The display will show the actual temperature as the water begins
to heat the ON/OFF button will continue to blink.

4.

Once the set temperature has been reached the ON/OFF light turns solid red
and the kettle will beep 3 times. The display shows the actual temperature
and the Keep Warm icon will continue to be illuminated. The water will remain
heated to the set temperature for 30 minutes before returning to stand-by
mode. The kettle may be removed from the base for up to 2 minutes when
the Keep Warm setting is engaged. If the kettle is removed from the Power
Base for more than 2 minutes during Keep Warm, the red ON/OFF light will
turn off and unit will enter into stand-by mode once the kettle is replaced.

NOTE:

While in the Keep Warm setting it is normal for the actual temperature

shown on the display to fluctuate slightly as the heating element cycles on
and off to maintain the Keep Warm temperature. You may hear the noise of
the water heating up periodically when using the Keep Warm setting.

5.

To turn off the Keep Warm setting before 30 minutes push the ON/OFF
button and the unit reverts to stand-by mode.

IMPORTANT:

When using the Keep Warm setting DO NOT place an empty

kettle back on to the Power Base directly after the heating cycle. This can
damage the kettle if done repeatedly over the life of the product. When
placing the empty kettle back on the heating base always make sure the
Keep Warm setting is OFF.

Automatic Reheat Function

The kettle has an automatic reheat function when the Keep Warm setting is
active. If cold/fresh water is added to the kettle when using the Keep Warm
setting, the kettle will automatically sense the temperature change and begin to
reheat the water to the selected Keep Warm temperature. The ON/OFF button
(Fig.2) will blink red as the water is reheated and then become solid when the
set temperature is reached.

NOTE:

Always remove the kettle from the Power Base before refilling the kettle.

Never attempt to fill the kettle while it is resting on the Power Base as water
could spill onto the electronics, causing damage to the Power Base.

Setting the Timer

Timing is everything, whether brewing pour-over coffee or steeping tea it is
important to monitor the extraction time to produce the best flavor. The Pour-
Over Kettle has a countdown timer that can be set using the below procedure:
1. Follow steps 1-6 in the “Heating Water” section.
2. While the unit is in stand-by mode push the Timer button (Fig.2). There is a

short beep and the clock on the display will start to blink.
