SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
• Make sure that children only use the balance board under adult
supervision. The use of the balance board is not recommended for
children under 3 years of age.
•
This balance board is not a bed or cot. Do not let children sleep on the
balance board.
•
Always use the device on a flat and level surface to avoid injury.
•
Do not wear socks or slippery shoes when using the balance board. The
unit should be used with bare feet to avoid slipping.
•
When using the balance board with the curved side up (
), do not stand
near the edges as it may tip over. Teach your children to stand in the
middle. For children up to 6 years, hold their hand while in this position.
•
Make sure that there are no fingers on the edges. From first use, teach
your children to always keep their fingers away from the edges.
•
Make sure that there is a free space of at least 2 metres around the
balance board. No other children should be within this area either.
•
Do not jump or stomp on the balance board.
•
It is recommended that the balance board be inspected regularly for
splinters in the wood. These should be removed by an adult before use.
• This balance board is intended for indoor use. It can be used outdoors,
but will then wear out more quickly. Never leave it outdoors because water
and moisture can damage it.
• The felt may show lint over time. This has no influence on the use. You
can remove the lint with lint scissors or by hand. If you use the balance
board with felt on a wool or synthetic carpet, the felt will be subject to
additional stress due to the interlocking fibres. However, for sensitive or
non-scratch-resistant floors, we recommend placing a mat, carpet or rug
underneath.
• The balance board can be damaged by use on hard or uneven floors.
Particular care should be taken with tiled floors. The felt can protect the
balance board when you use it with the concave side up (
). However, if
you use it with the convex side up ( ), the felt will not provide protection
and we recommend placing a mat, rug or mat underneath. If you move
or pull the balance board with the convex side up (
) over hard or uneven
floors (e.g. tiles), the edges of the balance board or the floor may be
damaged.
