<Macro feature (Auto/Creative zone/Portrait/B&W/StitchAssist/Movie)>
-Press the MACRO button and use the Optical viewfinder or LCD monitor to frame the subject, then press the shutter
button halfway. The macro indicator lights yellow.
-The camera operation when the shutter button is pressed halfway and completely is the same as with “Basic picture-
taking.”
-In Macro mode, LCD monitor is recommend for avoid parallax.
<Picture-taking with Stitch Assist (Enabled in all modes except for RAW mode, at EVF only.)>
-Set the mode dial to Stitch Assist mode
-Set the picture-taking direction with the Omni Selector, and press the SET button or take a picture (SW2).
-When the first picture is taken, aim the camera to take the next picture which is displayed in the Live image. If you want
to take the same picture again, press the Omni Selector (LEFT/RIGHT) in the direction of the previous picture. The
previous picture will then be displayed and you can take another shot to replace it. Or you can go back to taking the next
picture by pressing the Omni Selector (LEFT/RIGHT) in the next direction.
-Press the SET button to exit.
<Digital Zoom (Enabled in all modes at EVF except for StitchAssist, movie and RAW modes.)>
-The digital tele-converter ratio (Off/2x/4x) is selectable with the MENU button.
-As a short cut, the digital zoom ratio can also be changed with the SET + Omni Selector [TELE/WIDE].
<Exposure compensation, white balance, AEB, and flash exposure compensation>
- Pressing the Exposure compensation/white balance/AEB/flash exposure compensation button switches the function in
the following sequence: Exposure compensation, white balance, AEB, and flash exposure compensation.
[Exposure compensation]
- Set the exposure compensation amount with the Omni Selector. The exposure compensation index bar shifts position to
indicate the exposure compensation amount on the Display panel and the LCD monitor.
[White balance]
- Use the Omni Selector to select the desired item. The selected white balance setting is displayed on the Display panel
and the LCD monitor.
-For custom white balance, select the icon and aim at a white sheet of paper. Then press the * (AE lock) button to obtain
the data.
-Press the SET button to register the setting. Then follow the normal picture-taking procedure.
[AEB]
-Press the RIGHT key on the Omni Selector to increase the AEB range or press the LEFT key to narrow the AEB range.
[Flash exposure compensation]
-Press the Omni Selector (LEFT/RIGHT) to set the flash exposure compensation amount. The procedure is the same as
for setting the exposure compensation.
<Shooting movie (at EVF only)>
-Turn the Mode Dial to “Movie.”
-The Movie starts recording at SW2 and stops when SW2 is pressed again. The recording stops when the maximum
recording time elapses (30 sec. ) or when the buffer memory or CF card become full.
<Creative Zone>
-Set the Mode Dial to M, P, Av, or Tv.
-The Display panel displays all the values that can be set for the respective mode. At EVF, the values are also displayed on
the LCD monitor.
-Use the Omni Selector to set the desired value.
<Manual focus (Enabled in all modes except for Auto and Pan Focus, at EVF only.)>
-Press the MF button and the MF indicator lights yellow.
-Press and hold the MF Omni Selector (UP/DOWN) to set the focusing distance. An indicator showing the
current position will be displayed on the LCD monitor.
