1. Parts to replace
- Registration patch sensor (FM2-9256)
2. Before the replacement
1) Remove the Registration Patch Sensor Shutter. Refer to "Chapter 7 Re-
moving the Registration Patch Sensor Shutter" in the Service Manual.
3. Replacement procedure
1) Detach the registration patch sensor unit upper cover [1].
- 7 screws [2]

2) Remove the 3 registration patch se nsors [1] from the r egistration patch
sensor unit.
- 6 screws [2]
- 6 Wire Saddles [3]

3) Remove the 3 registration patch sensors [1].
- 2 connectors [2] (2 pc from each registration patch sensor)

1. Parts to replace
- ITB drive roller (FC9-5798)
2. Before the replacement
1) Remove the Intermediate Transfer Belt (IT B). Refer to "Ch apter 7 Re-
moving the Intermediate Transfer Belt (ITB)" in the Service Manual.
2) Remove the Torque Limiter. Refer to "Chapter 7 Removing the Torque
Limiter" in the Service Manual.
3. Replacement procedure
1) Insert a hexagon wrench into a hole [1] on the ITB Drive Roller.
2) Remove the Brake Shaft [2] using a screwdriver.

CAUTION: Points to Note at Installation/Removal:
If the black harness is pulled by the hook of the Primary Exhaust Duct
(Lower), the connector [1] may be disconnected. Be sure to check that the
connector is connected properly.
