Chapter 8   ISIS/TWAIN Driver Settings

• Select [Folio] to fold the document in two before setting, to

enable front and back images created during duplex scanning
to be synthesized in a single sheet image.

(See p. 10-3)

[Brightness] Tab Sheet

On the [Brightness] tab sheet you can adjust brightness and
contrast for scanning, and access gamma settings. The
availability of brightness and contrast settings depends on the
mode setting of the [Basic] tab sheet.

Hint

• If all of the settings on the [Brightness] tab sheet are disabled,

the gamma setting is set to Custom.

• Set gamma compensation when the color tone of the scanned

image and the color tone of the image displayed on the
monitor are different.

• Refer to the user manual enclosed with the monitor for the

gamma values for the monitor used.

[Image processing] Tab Sheet

The [Image processing] tab sheet provides settings that affect
the processing of scanned images. Some settings may be
disabled, depending on the mode settings on the [Basic] tab
sheet. For examples of "Image processing" tab use,

(See

“Configuring Scanner Settings According to the Purpose” on
p. 10-5)
