You can select an AF method to suit the shooting conditions and your subject.
The following AF methods are provided: [
FlexiZone - Single ], [
u
(face)+
Tracking ] (p.80), and [ FlexiZone - Multi ] (p.82).
If you want to achieve precise focus, set the lens focus mode switch to [ MF ],
magnify the image, and focus manually.
Select the AF method.

Select the AF method with Quick Control
(p.42).

Select the desired AF method at the
bottom of the screen, then tap [

] to set.

You can also select from [ AF method ]
under the [
A
2 ] tab.
This is effective when you want to focus a particular subject, since only one
AF point is used to focus.
1 Move the AF point.

Tap the screen to move the AF point to
where you want to focus. (It cannot go to
the edges of the picture.)

To return the AF point to the center, press
the <
X L
> button.

During movie shooting, if [ Movie Servo
AF ] is set to [ Enable ], the AF point will be
displayed in a larger size.
