2.16 Video Gamma Shift Adjustment
1. Input 3 Receive the 16-step gray scale video signal in
VIDEO
mode.
2. Enter the service mode
3. Select item no. "6" of group no. "4" and change data value to adjust it so that the
correct gray scale screen appears on the screen.
2.17 Common Center Adjustment
1. Input 1 Receive the 16-step gray scale computer signal in
COMPUTER
mode.
2. Enter the service mode.
3. Project only the green light component on the screen.
4. Select item no. "11" of group no. "5" and change data value to adjust it so that the
flicker on the screen is minimized.
5. Project only the blue light component on the screen.
6. Select item no. "12" and change data value to adjust it so that the flicker on the
screen is minimized.
7. Project only the red light component on the screen.
8. Select item no. "10" and change data value to adjust it so that the flicker on the
screen is minimized.
2.18 White Balance Adjustment
[PC White balance adjustment]
1. Input 1 Receive the 16-step gray scale computer signal in
COMPUTER
mode.
2. Set Bright mode to "Off".
3. Enter the service mode, select item no. "7" (Red) or "8" (Blue) of group no. "4".
Change the data values to make a proper white balance.
4. Set Bright mode to "On", select item no. "1" (Red) or "2" (Blue) of group no. "8".
Change the data values to make a proper white balance.
[AV White balance adjustment]
1. Input 3 Receive the 16-step gray scale video signal in
VIDEO
mode.
2. Set Bright mode to "Off".
3. Enter the service mode, select item no. "7" (Red) or "8" (Blue) of group no. "4".
Change the data values to make a proper white balance.
4. Set Bright mode to "On", select item no. "1" (Red) or "2" (Blue) of group no. "8".
Change the data values to make a proper white balance.
Verify that the white balance for video input is equal to that for computer input.
2.19 Note on White Uniformity Adjustment
If you find the color shading on the screen, adjust the white uniformity by using the
proper computer and "Color Shading Correction" software.
The software is supplied with this service manual.
