Administering the ColorPASS
Setting passwords
Passwords described in this section are not the ones for the Windows XP Embedded
software which you must enter through the ACI when the ColorPASS is started or
rebooted.
For Server processes, you can set or change the Administrator password from the
ColorPASS Control Panel, and both Administrator and Operator passwords from local
Setup or remote Setup.
When the ColorPASS is installed, there are no passwords. If you do not create
passwords, users are not required to enter a password to modify the Setup or use the
administrator/operator functions in the job management tools. We
strongly recommend
that you set at least an Administrator password to protect the ColorPASS from
unauthorized changes to Setup. If a password is set previously, you are required to enter
it when you run Setup or access the job management tools with certain privileges.
