Ensure the printer is on and open the Page Setup dialog box.
Usually, the Page Setup dialog box can be opened by selecting Page
Setup... in the File menu.

Click the Utilities button to open the Printer Utilities dialog box.

Select Custom Setting from the pull-down menu, and then click the Ink
Dry setting icon.

Click and drag and the scroll bar to specify the desired time level: 1, 2 or 3.
The leftmost level (1) indicates that the printer waits for the shortest time
until ink dries up, while the rightmost level (3) indicates that it waits for the
longest time.
