f. Please insert terminal board into terminal block, then will be clamped automatically.
c. Insert the cable through the cap nut for each port. COM2(RS485 IN) COM3(RS485 OUT).
d. Pull down the terminal block on user interface board(See Figure 4.4).
e. Firstly insert cable into terminal board, then tighten the screws (dotted area) clockwise
with slotted screwdriver; if user need to pull out cable, screws rotates anticlockwise with
slotted screwdriver(See Figure 4.4).

1.Canadian Solar Monitoring Platform
After the daisy chain connection is finished, please use the SN/QR code on the board to
register the system on Canadian Solar monitoring website or APP.
2. Modbus TCP
The Ethernet module has a default TCP protocol.
After the daisy chain connection is finished, the LAN module addresses are assigned by the
DHCP automatically. The port is self-defined, default is 30003.
3. Modbus RTU (Transparent)
Connect a PC or Laptop directly to the Ethernet port of the LAN module or switch/
router. Enter the corresponding IP of the Ethernet module into the PC browser under
the same network. (The IP can be acquired in the router DHCP list).
Select the working mode as "Local+Remote" . Select the protocol type as
"Transparent". The port is self-defined, default is 30003. Assign an IP address in the
address field. Save. NOTE: If not connected to a switch, the default IP address of the
LAN module is 10.10.100.254.
4. Ethernet Module LED Indicators
D1 Red LED:
Indicator between module and inverter.
Constantly ON indicates normal.
Blinking indicates it is trying to connect.
OFF indicates connection failed.
D2 Red LED:
Indicator between module and server.
Constantly ON indicates normal.
Blinking indicates it is trying to connect.
OFF indicates connection failed.
D3 Green LED:
Module power light.
Constantly ON indicates normal power supply status.
OFF indicates abnormal power supply status.

Rj45 connectors are required for Ethernet communication. Two modes are supported: Data
logger (to Canadian Solar Monitoring Platform)and Mod bus TCP protocol.
The inverter slave address must be set to 01.
CAT 5E outdoor rated (cable outer diameter<9mm, internal resistance≤1.5Ω/10m) and shielded
RJ45 connectors are recommended, Single length is not recommended to exceed 80m.
If the product is connected to a local network through a router, the product will be
assigned an IP address automatically, by the DHCP server(Wait up to about 5 minutes).
Daisy chain is required for multiple inverter communication through ethernet as shown below.
