7.2.1.3
PRTCalc()
The
PRTCalc()
instruction converts the Rs/R0 ratio to a temperature measurement. The
PRTCalc()
instruction has the following form:
PRTCalc
(Dest, Reps, Source, PRTType, Mult, Offset)
Use option 1 (IEC 60751:2008) for the
PRTType
.
Source
is the Rs/R0 ratio. When using the
BrHalf4W()
instruction, this is the variable that
stores the
BrHalf4W()
measurement. When using the
BrHalf()
instruction, the CRBasic
program needs to calculate the Rs/R0 ratio (see
[p. 12] and
[p. 22] for
more information).
7.3 Siting
The TempVue 10 is intended for air temperature measurements only. The general EPA guidance
for standard meteorological stations is to locate the sensor over an open, level area at least 9 m
(29.5 ft) in diameter. The surface should be covered by short grass or the natural earth surface
where grass does not grow. Sensors should be located at a distance of at least ten times the
height of any nearby obstruction and at least 30 m (98.4 ft) from large, paved areas. Sensors
should be protected from thermal radiation and adequately ventilated. Protect the filter at the
top of the sensor from exposure to liquid water.
