NL110 NTCIP Interface
1. Introduction
The NL110 NTCIP Interface is used to communicate with Campbell Scientific
dataloggers using a phone connection configured as a PPP network, or Ethernet
10 Base-T communications link. The NL110 includes a CS I/O port (see
Appendix A) and an RS-232 port for communication.
The NL110 is configured as a PPP connection. All of the available settings are
described in Section 2.3. This manual will focus on setting up the NL110 for a
connection in an RWIS ESS application.
The NL110 has an operating system that communicates with standard SNPM
communication. The data collected from the logger is NTCIP compliant and is
collected when an incoming call requests the data. The OS converts input
location names in the logger to variable names that are compliant with NTCIP.
Communication with PakBus dataloggers (CR10XTD-PB, CR 1000,
CR23XTD-PB requires LoggerNet 2.1 or greater).
1.1 Physical Description of the NL110
The NL110 is housed in a rectangular case with all power and communication
connections on one edge. On the opposite outside edge are tabs for mounting
the NL110 in an enclosure. Figure 1 below shows the position of these
connections and the mounting tabs.
