INSTALLING YOUR PANEL HEATER

Positioning

This heater is sold ready for D.I.Y. installation, with wall bracket and flexible cord supplied. To
remove wall bracket from the heater unscrew the locking screw located at the top of the bracket
Always respect the minimum distances from the floor, walls and curtains as recommended in Figure
1.

The heater should be positioned by observing the minimum
clearances around the heater, particularly from easily flammable
objects:

300 mm from any corner of the room

200 mm from the floor

150 mm from any side furniture

150 mm from any curtain or shelf located above the
heater

Any furniture at the front of the heater should be
positioned at a minimum distance of 750 mm

The heater must not be located immediately below a socket
outlet

Clause 7.12

AS/NZS

60335.2.30)

or have the socket positioned behind the panel heater.

This heater is suitable for use in all rooms including Zone 2 in Bathrooms (Fig. 2) in accordance with
AS/NZS 3000: 2000 (Wiring Rules). Although this heater is double insulated and does not require
earthing,

it must be located so that the controls cannot be touched by a person in the bath or

shower

.

Wall Mounting

Position the mounting bracket against the wall, checking that it is the right way up and mark the 6
fixing holes (Figure 3).
