NOTE:

Units are designed to hold pre-heated hot food only. NEVER use to pre-heat or re-heat food.

WARNING!

Never use in wet or damp conditions. Refer to Section II for Safety Instructions and Warnings.

For electric Models:

1.  Plug into main power supply 100-120 VAC (CMBPH models) or 200-230VAC (CMBPH2 models) 50/60 HZ. Product label located on the

heating unit inside each door clearly indicates power supply information (see label samples below).

2.  Red light on front of heated door indicates power ON. Power is activated on electric models by flipping power switch on front of heated

door and will turn red when power is ON. An amber light on the same switch indicates heater is active. This will remain on until heater
reaches factory set temperature of 150˚F to 165˚F (65,6˚C to 73,9˚C) and then will turn off.

nOTe:

heater will switch on and off as necessary during operation to maintain factory set temperatures.

3.  Pre-heat compartment(s) empty with door(s) closed for 45 minutes to 1 hour prior to loading hot food. When door thermometer reads

150˚F (65,6˚C), insert pans of hot food into the cart and latch door(s) to close tightly.

nOTe:

If food is being loaded into the cart directly from the oven, keep the door of the cart ajar for several minutes before latching it

shut to slow down any further cooking of the food and to maximize food holding quality.

4.  When transporting cart filled with hot food, store power cord in cord keeper located on front door prior to moving. Insulated units will

hold hot food hot for 4+ hours unplugged*.

*Based on test with 10 each 4" (10 cm) deep H-Pans

 with Griplids

®

filled with hot water at starting temperature of 190˚F (87,8˚C)

held in compartment with door shut. Water temperature dropped an average of only 3˚F (-16,1˚C) /hr.

V. Operating Instructions for electric use

For best operating results, the Combo Cart

Plus should ideally be pre-heated or pre-chilled for at least

20 to 30 minutes

 before loading with food.

For holding hot food:

Pre-heat each empty cabinet by sliding a full-sized food pan filled with hot water onto the bottom rails. Close the cabinet door.

Or

simply place one or two Camwarmers

®

 (

1210PW

- heated in the oven at 350˚F for 45 minutes) on a sheet pan and place onto

the bottom rails and close the cabinet door.
Camwarmers

®

can remain in the cart to extend the holding time of hot foods beyond 4 hours.

For holding cold food:

Pre-chill each empty cabinet by sliding a full-sized food pan filled with ice water onto the top rails. Close the cabinet door.

Or

simply slide one or two Camchillers

®

 (

CP1220

- frozen flat for 8 hours) to the top of the compartment and close the cabinet door.

Camchillers

®

can remain in the cart to extend the holding time of cold foods beyond 4 hours.
