The exhaust pipe must be mounted in such a way that the toxic
exhaust gases cannot enter the combustion air intake, or the cabin
air intake.
•
The exhaust gases must always be disposed of outside of the
vehicle.
•
No flammable material is allowed in the vicinity of the exhaust
pipe.
•
The exhaust pipe must be fixed to prevent damage from vehicle
vibrations.
•
An exhaust pipe bracket must be mounted no further away than
150 mm from the exhaust port.
•
The openings for the combustion air inlet port, the exhaust outlet
port and the fuel pipe must be sealed if the heater is installed in the
interior. The heater must be installed with its foot using the rubber
seal in the foot supplied for this purpose, Fig. 10. If it is installed on
the exterior, ensure that the heater is fitted in a position where it is
protected from splashing and spray of water.
NOTE: The seal must be replaced each time the heater is removed
or re-installed.
