PRE-USE PROCEDURES

1- The CALITEK digital electronic ballast (220V / 240V) is capable of operating in the 175V to 265V power
supply range. The supplied power cord (1mm²) is suitable for use in 220V-240V.
2- Plug the appropriate power cord into the power socket of the digital electronic ballast.
3- Operating temperature range of the digital ballast: -25°C ~ + 40°C, maximum case temperature (TC): 80°C.

4- Make sure that the lamp power and the lamp voltage match the specifications of the digital electronic ballast.

For maximum performance, the lamp voltage of 250W, 400W and 600W can be between 90V and 140V.

5- Never disconnect the power plug or unplug the lamp lead from the lamp socket without first turning off the power.

6- Mounting location. Do not install ballasts in hot places such as attics or closets. Do not mount the ballast on

the reflector and do not blow exhaust air over them.

Do not stack the ballasts on top of each other. No contact with water. Mount each unit at least 15 cm apart. If
a unit is leaking resin, turn off the power and allow it to cool.
Move to a cooler area or install a fan near the ballast for cooling.

OPERATING PROCEDURES

1- Connect the output leads to the lamp socket or according to the luminaire manufacturer’s instructions.
2- Plug the power connection into the power outlet.

NOTES

1- The CALITEK digital electronic ballast will light high pressure metal halide and sodium halide lamps that are
rated at the appropriate power.

2- This unit provides protection against power fluctuations.

3- Switching of the supply voltage. If you are using a voltage regulator or transformer, please change the power
slowly. If you want to change quickly from 120V (240V) to 240V (120V), please unplug the 120V (240V) cord
and plug it into a 240V (120V) power outlet.
4- If you do not comply, the CALITEK Digital Electronic Ballast may deteriorate and the warranty will be void.

SAFETY FIRST

1- Do not tamper with or modify the CALITEK Digital Electronic Ballast in any way. This can cause bodily injury
or death because it is a high frequency, high power electrical device.
2- Do not immerse in water and avoid splashing water on the device.
3- Do not connect or disconnect the lamp cord when the electronic ballast is connected to the power supply.
4- Failure to observe the following safety instructions can result in serious injury or death.
5- Failure to comply with these safety warnings will result in a waiver of all liability and void any warranties.

WARNING

- Do not connect the input and output together; the luminaire must be properly grounded through the power
connection; Incorrect wiring of the output connection will permanently damage the ballast. - If the outside
of the lamp is damaged, do not try to use it, replace the lamp immediately. - When reinstalling the lamp,
make sure the lamp has time to cool before touching it. - Make sure that the power supply and the lamp
cable are properly connected. - Always unplug the power before reinstalling the lamp. - Do not carry or hang
the ballast by the power cable or the lamp cord. - Do not touch the inside of the plug while the power is on.
