1. PROPER USE OF THE PRODUCT
The towbar scale is used to determine the support load
on the towbar of your vehicle. The permitted support load
weights are printed or embossed on every towbar.
This device is not designed to be used by children or
persons with limited metal abilities or without
experience and/or lack of required specialist knowledge.
Keep children away from the device.
The device is not designated for commercial use.
Utilisation according to the intended purpose also
includes the observance of all information in these
operating instructions, particularly the observance of the
safety instructions. Any other utilisation is considered
to be contrary to the intended purpose and may lead to
material damages or personal injuries. EAL GmbH
assumes no liability for damage resulting from improper
use.

5. OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
Park the trailer on a even, fi rm surface. Secure to prevent it
from rolling away. Place the end of the towbar scale from
below into the mouth of the trailer coupling. Lift the sup-
port wheel to approximately 10 cm above the ground and
lock in place. The trailer is now supported by the towbar
scale.
Read off the support load on the scale.
Lower the support wheel again and remove the towbar
scale from the mouth of the coupling.
Clean the towbar scale using a slightly moist, soft cloth
and a mild cleaning agent. Ensure that no cleaning agents
or liquids enter the towbar scale. Do not use aggressive
cleaning agents, solvents, petrol, etc.

Please dispose of this device via the recycling bin or the
public/municipal collection points.
The materials can be recycled. You make an important
contribution to protecting our environment by recycling,
material utilisation or other forms of reusing waste

• Secure your trailer to prevent it from rolling
away before you measure the support load.
Pay attention to ensure that the towbar
scale is positioned horizontally and cannot tip.
There is a risk of injury.
