• If the vehicle has not been used for more than 2 weeks, fully charge the
battery before riding.
• Do not charge the battery below 0°C/32°F, or the battery may permanently
lose performance.
• The battery can be charged while removed from the vehicle or attached
to the vehicle. However, while charging, the battery must be disconnected
from the vehicle. The battery cannot be connected to the vehicle and
charger simultaneously.
NOTICE
• Never charge the bike without supervision
• Never use the charger in any other application than with the CAKE Åik
• Never use any other charger than the original CAKE Åik charger
• Always follow the battery instructions given above.
6.3 Removing the battery
DANGER! Risk of electric shock. When the battery is not connected to the
vehicle or the charger, turn the battery off.
NOTICE When the battery is not connected to the vehicle or the charger, the
battery must be stored indoors. Otherwise, humidity may enter through the
inlet and permanently damage the battery.
WARNING! Without the battery locked, anyone can remove the battery.
Always use the lock.
• Turn the bike OFF
• Disconnect the connector by pushing and pressing the yellow latch, before
pulling the whole connector outwards.
• Unlock the battery and remove the battery (See Fig 3)
• Be careful as you might cause scratch marks on the frame or battery if you
are not cautious.
