PPTP is a protocol in layer 2, it transfers data by encapsulating PPP data frames within
IP packets. It also can be used in the connection of private LAN. It uses a TCP connection
to maintain the tunnel, and uses GRE technology to encapsulate the data to PPP data frames
then transfer the data through tunnel. And also, it can encrypt or compress the data
encapsulated in PPP frames.
