Place a container (at least 250 ml) under 

the coff ee dispensing spout.

Make sure the lever is lowered.

11.7 

Keep the espresso and lungo buttons 

pressed down and simultaneously turn on the 
machine by pressing the power on/off  switch.

 Press the button to start a descaling cycle.  

(Both button and red and orange led are 
fl ashing.)

11.9 

The machine delivers descaling solution at 

intervals. During this phase the indicator lights 
blinks alternately (RED and ORANGE).

11.10 

If the container fi lls up, empty it.

11.11 

When the cycle is over, the button as well 

as the indicator lights blink alternately.

11.12 

Carefully rinse the water tank and fi ll it 

with fresh drinking water.

11.13 

Empty and rinse the used capsule bin 

and drip tray.

11.14 

Press the button to start the rinse cycle. 

(Both button and red and orange led are 
fl ashing.)

Rinse water will run through the machine. 

During this phase the indicator lights blinks 
alternately (RED and ORANGE - 2 blinks at a 
time).

11.16 

If the container fi lls up, empty it.

11.17 

When the rinse cycle is over, the button 

as well as the indicator lights blinks. The 
indicator lights blinks alternately (RED and 
ORANGE - 2 blinks at a time).The machine will 
emit a beep.

11.18 

Carefully rinse the water tank and fi ll it 

with fresh drinking water.

11.19 

Empty and rinse the used capsule bin 

and drip tray.

11.20 

The indicator light fl ashes red and 

orange. Press the fl ashing button to quit the 
cycle.
(If the process is not completed, turn off  the 
appliance.)

 

Use a soft , dampened cloth and a neutral 
detergent to clean the surfaces of the appliance.
