Storage

Should the coffee machine be left unused for a prolonged period of time, turn it off, unplug it and
empty the tank. Store the machine in a dry place where it won’t gather dust and out of reach of
children. We recommend you put the appliance back in its original packaging. Do not store the
appliance at less than 5

C to ensure that no water left inside freezes and damages the appliance.

Repairs/Maintenance

In case of breakdown, malfunctioning or a faulty power cable, do not try to repair the appliance.
Instead, contact our qualified personnel. Never try to use faulty or damaged appliances. Only
Caffè Vergnano S.p.A. can carry out repairs and modifications. Caffè Vergnano will not be held
liable for damage to things and/or people should any makeshift modifications or repairs be done
by unqualified personnel.

- Should you go out, or during the night, always turn off the machine at the main switch (9). The
machine heats up very quickly and will be ready for use again approximately one minute after you
turn it on.

CLEANING

Proper maintenance of your coffee machine ensures better performance over time and an extended
working life. Turn off switches and unplug the appliance before cleaning it. Never plunge the coffee
machine in water. Only clean it using a damp cloth and non-abrasive detergents and dry it
immediately. Its components can be handwashed using non-abrasive detergents or placed in the
dishwasher at a medium temperature.

ADVICE FOR THE PROPER DISPOSAL OF THIS APPLIANCE IN COMPLIANCE WITH EUROPEAN DIRECTIVE
2002/96/EC.

At the end of its working life, this product must not be disposed of as urban waste. It must be taken to a special local authority
differentiated waste collection centre or to a dealer providing this service. Disposing of a household appliance separately
avoids possible negative consequences for the environment and health deriving from inappropriate disposal and enables
the constituent materials to be recovered to obtain significant savings in energy and resources. As a reminder of the need
to dispose of household appliances separately, the product is marked with a crossed-out dustbin.
