4. Operating the Appliance
• Always operate the appliance on a firm level surface.
• To light the appliance, hold a flame to the burner, turn the gas control knob (N) (Fig. 2) slowly in the direction of the “+” arrow
(anti-clockwise) until gas ignites.
• After lighting, do not move the appliance around as liquid gas may enter the appliance from the gas cylinder, causing large yellow
flames.
• Adjust the size of the flame by turning the control knob (N)(Fig. 2). To increase the size of the flame, turn the knob anti-clockwise
and to decrease turn the knob clockwise.
• After use, always ensure that the control knob is turned to the “off” position (turn fully clockwise).
• In the event of light-back (ignition inside the burner (A) or mixing tube), do not move the cylinder but simply turn the gas control
knob fully clockwise. Wait until all the flames are extinguished. Follow the safety instructions given in sections 2, 3 and 6. Re-light
the appliance.
