9) Software
When you first turn the CAT on please follow these steps:
Connect the CAD USB Cable to one of the 2 USB Audio Connections on back
of the CAT and the other end to the 1543 MKII DAC.
Now use Remote Desktop or a screen/monitor/mouse to confirm JPLAY is
setup properly. Due to connecting and reconnecting JPLAY can sometimes
become configured incorrectly. The following screen shows one option of the
JPLAY configurations:
To open this screen on the CAT click on the
JPLAY Settings
icon on the desktop.
For the best sound quality It is crucial that one of the two following settings are
confirmed on the CAT. You
must
have 1543 DAC connected to the CAT with a USB
cable to make these settings. If the DAC is not connected it will not work:
Playing via: KS: Computer Audio Design
Engine: Xtream
DAC Link: ~ 1Hz
PC Buffer: 2 Seconds
Xtream size: 1000 or 2000 (Bigger numbers create a delay in start/stop)
