Removing the Shroud
To access the sensor or to replace any of the serviceable parts of the unit the
main shroud must first be removed. The removal of the shroud/sensor is easier if
the unit is supported underneath the skids so the weight of the unit is not on the
wheels.
To remove the shroud the drawbar must be removed. To remove the drawbar
disconnect the two round power connectors near the front of the shroud and
undo the 4 button head bolts on the inside face of the main sled. The drawbar
can then be pulled out toward the tow coupling. Once the drawbar is removed
there are two bolts at the rear of the unit and two bolts at the front which hold the
shroud onto the sled.
1. Unscrew the 2 round plugs
coming out from the front of
the shroud near the rear of
the cable protector.
2. Undo & remove these
two attachment bolts on
both sides of the sled.
3. Slide the drawbar out
4. Undo & remove these
two attachment bolts at
the front of the sled.
5. Undo & remove
these two attachment
bolts on both sides of
the sled.
6. Carefully lift the
shroud up and away
from the sled
