Door Chime

• Remove the front cover.

• Insert 3 x 1.5volt alkaline batteries (“C”, UM2 & LR14 

- not included) into the battery compartment, 

ensuring the battery polarity match the internal 

markings.

• Snap the front cover back on then it is ready to use.

IMPORTANT:

 Not to be used with a transformer.

Digital Code Set Up

• Press the Wired Push Button once, the Wired Chime 

unit will sound and it will generate a new operation 

code randomly and send a wireless signal to the 

Wireless Chime unit. 

• The Wireless Chime unit will sound to indicate that 

new operation code is registered and memorised.

Wired Door Chime Wire Installation

• Run a length of bell wire from the bell push terminals 

to the location you wish to mount your chime.

• Split the wires and bare the end of the wire.

• Connect the wire to the terminal block in the top right 

corner of the chime.

• Push down the brown tab on the top of the terminal 

by a small, flat screwdriver.

• Whilst the tab is pressed down, insert your bell wire.

• One wire into the blue terminal, the other wire into 

the red terminal.

Important 

1. Do not mount the Chime unit close to fireplace or expose to high temperatures.

2. Do not expose the Chime unit to direct sunlight or moisture

3. Always use alkaline battery. Please dispose of old, defective batteries in an 

environmentally friendly manner in accordance with the relevant legislation.

4. Make sure that no naked flame sources, such as lighted candles, should be placed on 

the unit.

5. The unit should not be exposed to dripping or splashing and that no objects filled with 

liquids, such as vases, shall be placed on the unit.

CAUTION:

 Replace only with the same or equivalent type of battery that is 

recommended by the manufacturer.

CAUTION:

 Make sure batteries are installed correctly as per the internal markings.

CAUTION:

 Danger of explosion if battery is incorrectly installed or replaced.

IMPORTANT:

 There are no serviceable parts in the units, do not attempt to repair it.

User Hints

If the door chime unit does not sound, please check the followings:

a) Flat batteries in either Wired or Wireless Chime units - change the batteries.

b) Wrong battery polarity in either Wired or Wireless Chime units - re-insert the batteries.

c) Wired and Wireless Chime units are not on the same operation codes - re-set the code 

(see digital code set up).

d) Units are out of range - Operate the Chime unit within the operation range.

Wired Door Chime Wire Installation

Operate With A Byron SX Range Wireless Door Chime

The Chime unit can be operated with the Byron SX Range Wireless Door Chime. When the 

wired chime unit is activated, it sends a wireless signal to your Wireless Door Chime that 

activates the chime to sound, with the operation range up to 75m (245ft approx. - in open 

field & at suitable condition). Read the following instructions before use.

Digital Code Set Up

 

The Chime unit is equipped with an advanced random and self-learning operation coding 

ability therefore no setting is needed. Read the following instructions before use.

1. First time operation: 

After battery installation on both Wired and Wireless Chime units, press the wired Push 

Button once, the Wired Chime unit will sound and it will generate a new operation code 

randomly and send a wireless signal to the Wireless Chime unit. The Wireless Chime 

unit will sound to indicate that a new operation code is registered and memorised.

2. Interference from a similar unit operating nearby: 

a) Simply remove the batteries from both Wired and Wireless Chime units and rest for 

10 seconds, this will erase the memory. 

a) Insert the batteries into the Wired and Wireless Chime units. Press the wired Push 

Button once, the Wired Chime unit is sound and it will generate a new operation code 

randomly and send a wireless signal to the Wireless Chime and it will sound to 

indicate that new operation code is registered and memorised.

Melody Selection - Wireless Door Chime

Press the melody selector once to select a melody as your wireless door chime sound, 

there is a total of 8 melodies for selection.

Door Chime Installation

• Drill a hole, fit a wall plug and screw.

• Leave a gap of 3mm between the screw head and wall.

• Locate the keyhole slot on the back of the chime unit 

over the screw.

Operation

• Press the wired Push Button once, the wired chime unit is activated and sound, it also sends a wirless signal to your 

Wireless Door Chime, and your door chime will sound.

• Operate the Wireless Door Chime unit within the operation range up 75m (245ft approx. - in open field & at suitable 

condition), test it before final installation.
