7. Start up
7.1. Filter
Check the filter and the flushing water pipe for pro-
per installation. The stop valves must not be opened
yet. Close the turning knob (4) by turning it clock-
wise. Slowly open the stop valves before and after
the domestic water station and deaerate the water
pipe at the next outlet after the domestic water sta-
tion. Slowly open the stop valves before and after
the filter and deaerate the pipework at the air bleed
closest to the filter (after the filter). Before backwa-
shing provide a collecting basin, if the flushing wa-
ter pipe is not connected to the waste water system.
Open the turning knob counter-clockwise until you
can hear water running out and then close it again.
Check whether the filter is correctly sealed.

8. Operation
A backwash must be carried out once a month to
prevent dirt particles from settling on the filter cloth
(or more frequently with higher amounts of dirt).
Before starting the backwash procedure, provide a
collecting basin, if the flushing water pipe is not con-
nected to the waste water system.
Backwashing
Open the turning knob (5) counter-clockwise until
you can hear water running out and then close it
again. Check whether the filter is correctly sealed.
The plastic parts may only be cleaned with a soft,
damp cloth. Do not use any solvents or detergents
or acid cleaners.
AHA-Electronics
The automatic hygiene advice consists of an optical
and acoustical signalling device and an operation
button. The advice is used as a reminder for the ad-
herence of the present maintenance intervals (back
washing and changing the filter element).
Programmed intervals:
Back wash filter:
FLASH after one month
Back washing
BEEP after 36 months
Changing the filter element
After maintaining the filter a reset has to be made
by double clicking the operation button, so the par-
ticular cycle will be restarted. The 36 month cycle
will be restarted after double clicking at the end of
the 36 months.
