3. Leaktest
The leaktest detects tightness problems. There are many possible reasons for leakage,
amongst others damaged or inaccurate mounted valves as well as broken pipes or pipe con-
nections. In order to carry out the test successfully it is essential that the suction hose is not
attached and all valves are closed.
In order to select the leaktest menu push the MENU button two times. The text in the dis-
play will ask you to read the correspondent chapter of the manual.
To start the leaktest push the power button once. The engine will accelerate to the highest
power level producing low-pressure. The test takes 8 seconds to perform. Low-pressure
will vary depending on the tightness of the pipes and valves.
During the test the menu bar indicates the status of the pipe system. Depending on the low-
pressure level the status is indicated by three different colours:
Red:
The system is leaky. Immediate action is
necessary. Call an expert to check the pi-
ping and the valves.
Yellow:
The system has minor leakages.
You can vacuum as usual but it is recom-
mended to carry out the test again at a later
date.
Green:
Piping and valves are leak-proof.
There is no action required.
