Switching the system off

✔

Switch off the system after consulting with and by authorised qualified personnel.

To switch off the door system, turn the main switch to position 0 for OFF or carefully remove the

power plug.

Secure the main switch with a hanging lock during maintenance work.

7.4

Emergency operation

In emergency situations and exceptional cases (e.g. in the event of a power outage), the door may be opened

by hand with the hand chain. It is mandatory to heed the following information as well as chapter 3.4 Risks

during emergency operation.

7.4.1 Hand chain for HT40

Extraordinary situation, e.g. power outage

✔

The hand chain is located directly next to the drive system.

✔

Manual tension: < 200 N! Otherwise, there is the risk of property damage!

✔

Important!

Make sure you have stable footing!

The hand chain must lock into place as heard with a click!

Determine the direction to pull for door OPEN / door CLOSE from the sticker on the guide rail. (see

Diagram 11 Sticker for the direction to pull the hand chain)

Pull the hand chain uniformly! (direction of pull and max. permitted tensile force, see above).

7.4.2 Hand chain (GfA drive system) for HT40, HTvision, HT60 and HT80

Extraordinary situation, e.g. power outage

The hand chain is located directly next to the drive system.

✔

Manual tension: < 390 N! Otherwise, there is the risk of property damage!

Important!

Make sure you have stable footing!

Note!

The control unit can be converted to other types of operation (only by authorised service personnel). It

should be noted that additional safety devices are required for this. A conversion can only be done by

authorised service personnel. Please contact the door manufacturer or your customer service.

Additional options (e.g. automatic closing) are described in the control unit function description.

Note! Function of the main switch!

The main switch fulfils the function of an

isolation device

and simultaneously serves as an

EMERGENCY

SHUTOFF

device.
