TRIPOD MOUNTING
Your Elite Tactical LMSS2 spotting scope should be mounted on a high quality, stable tripod (not included) to ensure safe
operation and a vibration-free viewing experience. Attach the scope’s mounting base
(I)
(1/4”-20 thread) to the screw on the
tripod’s platform, so that the scope is held securely in place and provides a level view (adjust tripod as needed).
USING THE ZOOM EYEPIECE AND FOCUSING
Turn the focus ring
(C)
in either direction until your subject appears as sharp as possible. To reduce the need to readjust
focus when zooming, set the zoom to its highest power and focus on your subject. When you zoom back down to lower
powers, it will minimize the need for additional focus adjustment.
Rotate the zoom ring
(D)
on the eyepiece to change magnifying power from low to high. The throw lever
(E)
provides faster
operation when rapid changes in magnifi cation are needed (it can be removed if necessary). Lower power settings will
provide a brighter image with a wider fi eld of view; higher powers allow observing smaller details on more distant subjects.
Note: the eyepiece section of the scope is not interchangeable. Do not attempt to remove the eyepiece from the scope.
USING THE TWIST-UP EYECUP AND DIOPTER ADJUSTMENT
1. Twist the rubber eyecup
(B)
clockwise to retract it into the scope, allowing access to the diopter ring
(A)
.
2. If the reticle appears blurry, rotate the diopter adjustment ring
(A)
with the scope aimed at a blank wall or empty sky to
ensure the reticle is sharp for your eyesight.
3. Twist the eyecup out (counter-clockwise) to adjust it for a comfortable view, ensuring that you can see the entire image
(full fi eld of view). If you wear eyeglasses, you may prefer to retract it back down.
