Troubleshooting
Charging the battery
1.
Your Compact Digital Radio has an integral rechargeable battery. Before you use your
radio for the first time, you need to charge the battery, which will take approximately
5 hours. From a full charge you will be able to listen to your radio continuously for
approximately 18 hours.
2.
Connect the micro USB end of the charging cable to the Micro USB socket on the left
hand side of the Compact radio.
3.
Plug the standard end of the charging cable into a computer or other USB charging
device. The radio display will switch on, ‘Welcome to Digital Radio’ will be displayed
and then your radio will go to Standby mode.
4.
Extend the telescopic aerial, this will ensure that the maximum signal strength is
available when the radio begins to scan for stations.
5.
Press and release the Power button to switch on your radio and begin an automatic
scan for DAB Radio stations. When the scan is complete, press and release the Menu
button until the battery charge status is displayed e.g. ‘Battery 25’.
Note
:
If the battery is completely exhausted, you will need to wait a short while after
it has been on charge, before the radio will power on and you are able to check the
battery status information.
6.
When the Compact Radio battery is fully charged, ‘Battery 100’ will be displayed.
Adjusting the volume
Turn the rotary volume control on the right hand side of the radio, clockwise to increase
the volume and anti-clockwise to decrease the volume.
Check the display, which will confirm the volume setting.
