Charging the battery
1.
Your Handheld DAB Radio has an integral rechargeable battery. Before you use your
radio for the first time, you need to charge the battery, which will take approximately
5 hours from a full charge you will be able to listen to your radio continuously for
approximately 10 hours.
2.
Connect the micro USB end of the charging cable to the Micro USB socket on the left
hand side of the Handheld DAB Radio (under the cover).

Plug the standard end of the charging cable into a computer or other USB charging
device. The radio display will switch on, ‘
Welcome to Digital Radio
’ will be displayed
and then your radio will go to Standby mode with a clock display.
4.
Extend the telescopic aerial, this will ensure that the maximum signal strength is
available when the radio begins to scan for stations.
5.
Slide the Power switch on the right hand side of the product to On. Your radio will
begin an automatic scan for DAB Radio stations. When the scan is complete, press and
release the
Menu
button until the battery charge status is displayed.’
Note: If the battery is completely exhausted, you will need to wait a short while after
it has been on charge, before the radio will power on and you are able to check the
battery status information

When the Handheld DAB Radio battery is fully charged, ‘
Charge full
’ will be displayed.
Adjusting the volume
Use the and buttons on the top of the radio to increase or decrease the volume.
Press and hold the or button to progressively increase or decrease the volume.
Check the display, which will confirm the volume setting.
Change the mode
Press and release the
Mode
button to change between DAB and FM modes. Please check
the display, which will confirm the mode.
